Group Leader: Prof. Ritu Gupta

Dr. Ritu Gupta obtained her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, in Nov 2013 with Prof. Giridhar U. Kulkarni and carried out Postdoctoral Research with Prof. Timothy S. Fisher at Birck Nanotechnology Centre, Purdue University, USA. She joined IIT Jodhpur in 2015 as an Assistant professor and the department's youngest faculty member. She works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. She has worked on large-area MPCVD graphene and roll-to-roll printing of multiple functional material inks on a large scale for active device fabrication. Her research group has worked on developing scalable synthesis methods and functional nanomaterials for device applications in sensors for environmental monitoring and healthcare.
She has received several Awards and recognitions: INSA Young Scientist Medal 2020, SERB Women Excellence Award 2021, and IIT Jodhpur Young Researcher Award 2021 and JNCASR Best Emerging Young Scientist Award 2022.
She is elected as a member of the Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (2021-25), INSA, and an Associate - 2021 at the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore.
She is presently a Visiting Associate Professor at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa as SERB-SIRE fellow 2022.
