Advanced Materials and Devices (AMDL)  

We work on developing large-scale methods for synthesizing nanomaterials and fabricating functional devices. We use advanced characterization techniques and microscopic, spectroscopic, and electrochemical methods to develop an understanding of the material properties. We work on designing, printing, and modifying the electrode structure to address the challenges of using various nanomaterials for functional devices. The present focus of the group is on developing innovative designs and materials for flexible and printable sensors for diagnostics, and environmental monitoring applications.

Our group is highly multidisciplinary and aims to provide technological solutions to societal problems as well.
